Assessing and Quantifying the Return on Investment
Wednesday 24 February 2010
Fed up of being challenged about investment in staff learning and development? Wanting more ideas as to how to quantify the return on investment? If so, this one day workshop is the answer.
Targeted at Pro Vice-Chancellors or other senior managers responsible for staff learning and development and human resources and staff development specialists, the aim of this workshop is to explore the different points at which you can sharpen up your HRD practice as part of a strategic process. By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to better calculate return on investment by: enhancing the process of engaging staff in determining their strategically aligned objectives prior to participation in learning and development(L&D) activities; ensuring clarity re: 'return on expectation'; making a business case for learning and development; considering the cost of NOT engaging staff in L&D activity; analysing performance and learning and development gaps; and understanding the basic calculations of ROI and how it is used in the institution.
