Professor Stephanie Marshall

Professor Stephanie Marshall is Director of Programmes at the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education with current responsibilities including the oversight of the quality and delivery of all the core open programmes, supporting key associates in the enhancement of programme design to ensure greater impact.  She has developed and will deliver the new nine day (3 modules of 2 days each + 3 action learning sets) programme for senior staff: ‘Leading the Agile University’.  She is an internal panel member of Hefce’s LGM fund, liaising with higher education staff with respect to LGM project ideas, assisting the internal panel with the assessment of applications, and, often sitting on Steering Groups to ensure effective delivery of projects.

Underpinning her work is a commitment to engaging with cutting edge research and, as such, she is the co-author of two high-sales Kogan Page (now Routledge) text books: ‘Teaching and Learning in HE: Enhancing Academic Practice’ (now in 3rd edition),   ‘The Effective Academic’ (2002), the editor of ‘Leading Change in HE: What’s New?’ (2007) and is the author of numerous articles and chapters in books.
