We are really excited to be able offer the chance for higher education institutions in England (including colleges of further education offering higher education) to access free consultancy expertise. Each institution can bid for six days of free consultancy advice and support which is worth up to £4,200.
This offer is available as part of our new Changing the Learning Landscape project and is intended particularly for institutions whose learning and teaching strategies are changing in response to growing demand from students to see social media and mobile technologies as a standard part of how their courses are taught. Changing the Learning Landscape is all about enhancing the digital student experience.
Institutions can bid for the expertise to support their plans in a variety ways: strategic advice, practical guidance or facilitation to support implementation of change in the use of learning technologies.
Changing the Learning Landscape is a partnership between the Association for Learning Technology, the Higher Education Academy, JISC, the National Union of Students and the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education, and is funded by Hefce.
In 2012-13 up to 300 consultancy days will be available to support around 50 institutions. Each eligible institution is therefore entitled to make an initial application for a maximum of 6 consultancy days to be used by 18 April 2013 in the first round of applications which closed on 1 November 2012.
There will be a second round of applications in early January 2013 with a view to consultancy days being used by 1 July 2013. Institutions are invited to submit a short proposal (max 2000 words) outlining the needs to be addressed and demonstrating senior management support and engagement in the process.
