In line with our commitment to continuous improvement across all of our programmes, we are undertaking a review and redesign of the Future Leaders Programme to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of aspiring professional service leaders in the contemporary university context.
It is recognised that in universities today there is a far greater emphasis on collaborative working within and across professional services. This includes service convergence, matrix project working, drives for efficiency, boundary spanning leadership, business partnering and the expectation that professional services collaborate as a community with a real sense of collective commitment and shared purpose. Bringing in a wide and diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external, this complexity calls for leaders who can think strategically, plan flexibly, engage at many levels and perform with real agility.
The new programme will reflect the accelerating pace with which the challenge of professional service leadership is evolving, and the growing needs and expectations of more complex, diverse and fast-paced educational and research environments. It will also create a shared learning experience that will bring together professional service leaders from all areas of the university.
More information on the redesigned programme will be available over the summer; but if you would like to know more at this time, please contact Doug or Louise.
