Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to all participants on Leadership Foundation courses, programmes and events.
Attendance
- The Leadership Foundation will confirm in writing when they receive a booking form or application form for any Leadership Foundation event.
- A place on a Leadership Foundation event will be confirmed in writing provided all of the Leadership Foundation criteria have been met.
- We reserve the right to change the advertised programme, speakers and contributors for an event without prior notice to participants.
- We will make every effort to give participants reasonable notice in respect of a change of venue, postponement or cancellation of the event.
- Participants are expected to play a full part and to attend the whole event.
- Participants are expected to behave in a professional manner while attending our events and to comply with the terms and conditions of host venues.
- Participants will indemnify Leadership Foundation for any expenses or other liabilities it incurs as a result of improper behaviour.
- Materials given to participants during an event are the intellectual property of Leadership Foundation and the contents cannot be reproduced, in full or part, without our prior written consent.
Fees and Costs
- Fees will be invoiced in advance of the event and are expected to be settled within the payment terms stated on the invoice. Participants will be personally liable for fees if they have committed to a place without the approval of their employer or sponsor.
- Fees do not include costs for travel to and from the event – participants are expected to make their own arrangements.
- Food and accommodation will be provided during some events and included in the event fee, as notified in the event information and on the application form – where appropriate details will be confirmed by the event administrator.
- All costs for accommodation required before or after an event and incidental costs incurred during events will be borne by participants.
- Participants are required to arrange their own travel insurance where necessary and participants will not be covered by the Leadership Foundation.
- Should an event be postponed or cancelled by the Leadership Foundation, or the venue changed, the Leadership Foundation will not be responsible for and will not reimburse any expenses incurred by participants in the lead up to the event.
Cancellation and Re-registration
Conferences and seminars
For conferences, seminars, and events scheduled for a full day or a half day, cancellation may be made up to three weeks before the date of the event and a full credit will be offered. No credit will be available for cancellations less than three weeks before the event, although a place may be transferred to another participant from the same institution.
Short and Mid-length Programmes
For programmes with a duration from two to six days, cancellation may be made up until four weeks before the start date of the event and a full credit will be offered. No credits will be available for cancellations made less than four weeks before the start of the programme.
If a participant wishes to defer his/her place on a programme up to two weeks before it starts, they will be invited to complete a short re-registration form, and we shall seek to agree participation in the next run of that programme. If re-registration is agreed, a re-registration fee representing 35% of the full fee will be charged, this is in addition to the programme fee. If re-registration is not possible, no re-registration fee will be charged, but no credit of the programme fee will be offered. Re-registration normally is not possible less than two weeks before the start of the programme, although a place can sometimes be transferred to another participant from the same institution.
Longer Programmes
For programmes with a duration of more than six days, cancellation may be made up until six weeks before the start date of the event and a full credit will be offered. No credits will be available for cancellations made less than six weeks before the start of the programme.
If a participant wishes to defer his/her place on a programme up to four weeks before it starts, they will be invited to complete a short re-registration form, and we shall seek to agree participation in the next run of that programme. If re-registration is agreed, a re-registration fee representing 35% of the full fee will be charged, this is in addition to the programme fee. If re-registration is not possible, no re-registration fee will be charged, but no credit of the programme fee will be offered. General
- All cancellations and requests for re-registration should be made by email.
- No credits will be made in the event of a participant withdrawing or being absent during the event or programme.
Data protection
- Leadership Foundation is the data controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998. If you have queries relating to the use of your data, email info@lfhe.ac.uk.
- If taking part in a Leadership Foundation event, you are agreeing that we may use your data for the following purposes:
- We will use your contact details to send you information relating to the event you have booked and to request feedback.
- We may publish your name, job title, organisation and event attended as part of our promotional materials.
- We may also use your contact details to send you information about other courses, events and activities we offer.
- We may publish your contact details to the members of your participant group as part of the information distributed prior to or at the event you have booked.
- Except in connection with the activities described above or where required to do so by law, we will not disclose your data to third parties without your permission.
