Leading Transformational Change 2010 is the annual Leadership, Governance and Management (LGM) conference which is a joint event organised and hosted by the Leadership Foundation and Hefce.

The 2010 event will see the first presentations from the new Leading Transformational Change (LTC) projects, supported by Hefce’s Leadership, Governance and Management Fund (LGMF). These particular projects have been designed to support higher education institutions in finding their own solutions to challenges of the economic downturn. The projects are clustered around themes – Distinctiveness strategies; New business models and Collaborative partnerships.

In addition to showcasing the new LTC projects, the conference will continue the successful format of previous years and will be a mix of plenary and workshop sessions in which the work of LGMF projects are presented. LGMF projects promote the improvement or impact of leadership, governance and management in higher education, and the grants awarded can be up to £360,000.

The workshop themes this year will be:

We have invited senior leaders from across the UK higher education sector. Guests at previous annual LGM events have included vice-chancellors, pro vice-chancellors, registrars and directors of professional services.

A final of the conference programme is now available.
