As public interest in governance matters increases, the critical role played by secretaries and clerks becomes ever more visible and demanding. This meeting will follow the format of similar events held in previous years – but it will address the shifting agenda of policy responsiveness and securing public confidence. It is intended that the event will provide an opportunity to:

The meeting will also address issues raised at the previous meeting and look at how these have evolved during the year. By holding this meeting in February rather than June your input will play an even greater part of the thinking and planning for the 2012-13 programme.

Format of the day

There will be presentations from secretaries and clerks on topical issues and examples of relevant good practice.
