Additional Funding for HE in 2010-11

As part of the budget on 24 March 2010, the Government has announced additional funding for 2010-11 in the form of a Modernisation Fund of £270m. to support 20,000 more student places and to "help institutions become more efficient".

HEFCE has published more details of the process for allocating £250m. for additional students and efficiency activities, and of the shared services pilot scheme.
