New Corporate Governance Code for Listed Companies
The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has introduced changes to the
UK Corporate Governance Code - formerly known as the Combined Code - to help company boards to be more effective and accountable. The main changes concern the board's responsibilities for risk; more emphasis on the importance of securing the right mix of skills and experience on the board and a recommendation for the annual election of all directors of FTSE 350 companies.
For regular updates on various matters Governors may wish to join the HEFCE Governance e mail list.
