Impact of the Budget Statement on Higher Education
The Secretary of State for Innovation, Universities and Skills has written to the HEFCE outlining how the 2009 budget will affect higher education. The key headline is that HEFCE has been asked to plan for "efficiency savings" of about £180m in 2010-11 while protecting and enhancing the quality of teaching and research. See
