Last week (27/3/14) we held the final session of Aurora London, with Adaptive Leadership Skills as the theme of the day. It took place at the stunning Central Hall Westminster.
LF Aurora participants were taken on the journey of how Adaptive leaders are experimental and innovative and are not afraid to fail, explained, LF Coach, Jenny Garrett. In fact they often seek out opportunities to test themselves and their ideas in order to discover their strengths.
Dame Tanni Grey Thompson was our extremely inspiring keynote speaker, who gave an amazing and honest speech. Tanni gave insight into the constant drive she has had throughout her life to succeed even when everything seemed to be against her. Her personal story was full of topics and themes that meant the audience was able to relate too without even being an Olympic athlete.
Our delegates said:
“Tanni was awesome, funny, brought me to tears - touching and humane; took away focus on targets and lists”
“The inspirational talk from Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson was really motivating, reassuring, inspirational and encouraging to hear from someone so successful about the hard times.”
Adaptive Leadership Skills is the final day for all our aurora cohorts for this launch year of Aurora, and each of cohort will see an inspirational keynote speaker (Roma Agrawal and Oona King), giving their leadership stories from their quite different perspectives.
