The 2006 Staff Development Conference provided a focus for those interested in staff and organisational development in higher education and was offered through a partnership between the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education and the Staff Development Forum.
Running from the 8 - 10 November, the conference took place in Liverpool during the city’s preparations for its role as City of Culture in 2008. The 2006 theme for Liverpool’08 was Liverpool Performs, intended to celebrate its “world-beating track record in performance, from the stage to the gallery, and from the football pitch to the boardroom”.
SDC2006 picked up on the themes of culture and performance coupled with innovation to focus on culture in organisations and the multiple meanings of performance in staff and organisational development. The conference venue and format offered exciting opportunities to explore and experience innovation in developmental approaches and the use of technology.
A selection on photographs from the first two days of the conference are now available via the following links
