The Leadership Foundation for Higher Education, in partnership with HEA, has this week opened submissions to higher education institutions across the UK interested in taking part in the year-long Change Academy programme.
Change Academy is the flagship programme designed to support institutions implement complex change projects to enhance the student learning experience.
The chief executives of the HEA and the Leadership Foundation, Professor Craig Mahoney and Ewart Wooldridge CBE, agreed: “With ongoing changes to UK higher education, Change Academy continues to provide institutions with a vital opportunity to examine their changing needs. The year-long programme has made a significant and positive impact to thousands of staff and students as a result of institutional strategic change since Change Academy was launched in 2004.
“Change Academy’s reputation is also growing outside the UK and last year we welcomed an international team to Change Academy, from York University in Canada. As higher education continues to rapidly evolve, becoming increasingly global in its challenges and opportunities, Change Academy can support institutions from across the world to develop their change strategies to help ensure a high quality student learning experience.”

The closing date for submission is 17:00 on Friday 2 March 2012. All institutions will be informed of the outcome of their submission by Friday 16 March 2012.
To help HEIs complete their applications the HEA has prepared guidance notes and has also made available case studies from previous participants in the Change Academy programme.
