LF Fellows 2006/07 celebrated

The Arts Club in central London was the venue for the awards ceremony that celebrated the launch of the second cohort of LF Fellowship projects for 2006/2007. Each award is worth up to £30,000, and enables the HEIs to pursue an organisational development project within their own institution.

The 18 new LF Fellows were joined on the day by a guest from their institution as well as LF Fellows from the first cohort, who have taken on a coaching role and will share their experience of their own Fellowship projects. A key note address was given by Professor Adrian Smith, Principal of Queen Mary, University of London, in which he congratulated the Fellows and spoke of the ongoing need for leadership in organisational development.

Professor Stephanie Marshall, the Leadership Foundation’s Programme Director responsible for managing the Fellowship Programme said of the event: “This superb event enabled many of the fellows to meet each other for the first time. Networking at the event provided the opportunity for the new Fellows to form their own learning sets and share ideas. Most importantly, it has given the Fellows the reassurance that their project will make an important contribution to the sectors understanding of leadership and change.
