Small Development Projects (SDP) were first launched in 2004 – shortly after the creation of the Leadership Foundation. Over the years they have proven to be very popular – and have introduced a range of innovative activities of benefit to institutions. It is therefore with great pleasure that we invite proposals from member institutions for Small Development Projects 2010. We plan to fund ten projects of up to £10,000 each - bringing the total number of SDPs funded to 50!
The key principles of the SDP scheme are that it supports innovative activities that would not normally attract funding from within an institution and that there is a clear benefit to the wider higher education community to learn from the process and outcomes of the project.
Proposals can be submitted between Tuesday 5 January - Friday 5 February 2010 and will normally be assessed by a panel comprised of members of the Leadership Foundation’s Membership Advisory Group and Leadership Foundation staff. Full bidding guidelines can be found here - Guidelines. Details of previous projects can be viewed at this link
