Strategies for a sustainable future

Universities and colleges are facing pressure to become more sustainable from the Funding Councils, Government and Parliament. Many students, staff and local communities would like to see more action, and the topic is becoming a growing campaigning issue for student organisations.

Strategic Sustainability: Transforming Green Rhetoric into Gritty Reality is a one day event in London on 21 June 2007, focused on what university leaders can do to achieve real improvement in their organisations, both in the short- and medium-term.

The day will be chaired by Peter James, Professor of Environmental Management at Bradford University and Co-Director of Heepi, and guest speakers include Leith Sharp, Director, Harvard Green Campus Initiative.
