Partnership Working suggests that while trade unions and employers have different priorities, they work together to reach consensus-based decisions in areas of common interest. Used extensively in those parts of the private sector where trade unions are recognised, it has also been used in the civil service, local government and by the NHS to implement its Agenda for Change.
A focus on partnership working is also important for the HE sector and the Leadership Foundation will be hosting an awareness raising seminar on the topic of Partnership Working led by William Coupar, Director of the Involvement & Participation Association.
The seminar, Partnership Working - An Awareness Raising Seminar will be an interactive half-day session held on Friday, 7 April 2006 in Dundee.
The programme has been designed for managers involved in negotiation and also trade union representatives.
More information on the event can be found here and the booking form here or by contacting Susannah Lane
