Development Opportunities

The diagram below looks at the succession management process beyond the point where talented individuals have been identified. 

The aim now is to develop these people so that they become more capable individuals, ready to play a greater role in the running of the organisation. 

We can build the capability of an individual in three generic ways – by offering them challenging experiences, by setting up processes to help them to reflect on and learn from these experiences, and by investing in their development through training courses, workshops and further education.
