The Aspiring Registrars Programme is designed for individuals actively considering moving into the role of registrar, a role which may also be titled Head of University Administration, University Secretary, Head of Professional Services, Head of Business Services, Chief Operating Office, etc. Participants will have a unique opportunity to explore the diverse and challenging role of the registrar, as well as to reflect on their readiness for this, or indeed other leadership positions.
Specific programme features include:
- The opportunity to reflect on the role of registrar, and to understand fully the varied demands of the role
- Personal feedback from a professional coach on their current skill set and identify development needs
- The time to engage with others from a variety of senior management backgrounds in higher education who share a common interest in pursuing this career path
The Aspiring Registrars Programme will focus specifically on providing participants with:
- Increased perception of the nature and dimensions of the registrar role and a clearer view about their readiness for such a strategic role
- Appreciation of the complex set of relationships between senior figures in the university structure
- Enhanced self-awareness and a clear understanding of their strengths and development needs
The programme is designed to provide long-term benefit to both the individual and the organisation.
