Overview
If members of senior management teams are to be effective in their role of ensuring proper corporate governance, it is vital that they understand the basics of financial reporting and budgetary control. They need a sufficient grasp of the principles and terminology of accounting to have a financially informed dialogue with their finance directors and academic colleagues when reviewing results and making tactical and strategic decisions.
