Future Leaders Programme

Who are Future Leaders?

"I think it (Future Leaders) contributed to my promotion, my leadership of the new team and my role and status in the institution as well as giving me a greater understanding of my perception and senior management."

"My increased confidence means I am more likely to engage in networking and in projects at a higher level of strategic direction. I now have a higher profile, to go with my growing reputation for getting things done."

Who are Future Leaders?

The Future Leaders Programme (FLP) has been designed to help experienced professional Information Services (IS) staff (typically covering library, ICT and related activities), to deepen their understanding, leadership ability and potential in preparation for a head of service role. The programme has been developed with the support of SCONUL, UCISA, JISC and the British Library.

The programme is aimed at those individuals who aspire to a strategic role within IS. Applicants will currently be at middle manager level and have proven management experience in managing a service or a small team.
