brochurecover

“Any potential new leader, or recent in post head will reap the time invested in this programme. It is a rare opportunity to reflect on the demands of leadership and yet it is also more than reflection, it offers practical ideas and suggestions for improving life at work.”

Dr Kenneth Laidlaw
Senior Lecturer / Clinical Lead Older Adults Psychology
University of Edinburgh

You will be at an early stage in your role as a head of department, or be someone considering or preparing for such a role. You will have an academic background and be leading a teaching, research or knowledge transfer department. Alternatively you may be leading an administrative or a professional services department – for example, human resources, finance, estates, marketing, knowledge, information services/information technology or student support services. You may also be a head of a CETL or an academic subject centre. You will typically report to a senior manager, such as a dean or deputy of the principal.
