Aim

Participants will gain the insight and perspective required to respond with agility to the rapidly changing demands of the Higher Education environment. They will deepen their awareness of their leadership style and learn new ways to be effective in challenging situations and ambiguous circumstances.

We see completion of Managing through Complexity as a development stepping stone to our acclaimed Future Leaders Programme, it is from this leadership programme, that many alumni have gone onto senior roles across the higher education sector.

Objectives

By the end of this programme participants will have:

Learned from senior professionals who have met the challenges of leading their areas in a complex and turbulent environment
Identified characteristics of their leadership style and how they are most effective
Learned new ways to be effective in situations they find challenging
Reflected on key relationships fundamental to success in their role and how these can be strengthened and developed
Understood the diversity of personality differences and how these affect working dynamics
Examined their own work portfolio within their institution and pinpointed actions to help their service respond dynamically to the ever changing demands upon it.
