Aim
Participants will gain the insight and perspective required to respond with agility to the rapidly changing demands of the higher education environment. Participants will develop the inner resources needed to lead in research management and the situational awareness needed for successful strategic development.
Objectives
By the end of the session, participants will have:
- Learned from the experiences of senior professionals in research management on the challenges of leading this area in a complex and turbulent environment.
- Reflected on key relationships fundamental to success in their role and how these can be strengthened and developed.
- Considered the impact of personality differences on their communication, thinking, planning and decision-making approaches.
- Explored fundamental questions at the heart of research management.
- Identified their own particular contribution to their institution, the research management community and the wider research environment.
- Established a network of peers in the research management community.
- Gained focus to work with more clarity and energy in the context of continuing ambiguity.
