In these trying financial times it isn't always appropriate for staff to be away from their desks for to long. Money has to be carefully allocated and well spent.
We have worked with groups of universities in the same region with similar requirements to provide in-house programmes for their staff. This has allowed them to train a number of staff at one time, without excessive expenses. Participants have the benefits of discussions with other universities without the need to travel large distances.
How does this work?
A good example of universities working together in this way are the tailored in-house programmes we delivered jointly for Newcastle and Durham University. Both institutions had the same requirement to develop a leadership programme for newly appointed academic leaders. Newcastle and Durham combined their resources and subsequently the Leadership Foundation have successfully delivered five cohorts of this programme, with the sixth cohort being planned to be delivered in this academic year. Read the case study from these two institutions to find out how this could potentially work for you.
