  1. Future Professional Directors

    18 September 2018

    In 2016 we launched Future Professional Directors, a unique programme created with nine sector bodies to focus on consolidating leadership development for professional staff from across all aspects of the university spectrum. We welcomed 23 participants on this first cohort. Having reached the end of the first cohort, we looked to share the leadership journey to highlight the opportunities of realising and investing in the potential of leaders in the sector, both for the individual and the institution. Here Jaclyn Green, Deputy Director of Marketing and Communications, Harper Adams University shares her insights into and experiences of the programme.

  2. Professor Eric Neumayer, London School of Economics and Political Science - Starter for 10

    19 January 2018

    Eric Neumayer is professor of environment and development at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He is currently the School’s pro-director for faculty development, overseeing the School’s recruitment, review, promotion, retention and pay policies. Eric attended the Top Management Programme 37, which took place between October 2015 - April 2016.

    Dr Jane Rand is Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at York St John University, where she has oversight of educational quality and academic standards across the university. Jane attended the Top Management Programme 40, which took place between April and September 2017.

  4. Professor Simon Guy, UA92 and Lancaster University - Starter for 10

    19 January 2018

    Professor Simon Guy is currently working on secondment from his role as dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Lancaster University as interim principal of University Academy 92 (a partnership which includes the Class of 92, Microsoft, Trafford Council, Manchester United and other corporate partners). Simon attended the Top Management Programme 40, which took place between April - September 2017.

  5. Professor James Crabbe, Emeritus Professor - Starter for 10

    19 January 2018

    James is an emeritus professor of Biochemistry, a supernumerary fellow of Wolfson College, Oxford University, and Honorary Professor at Changchun University of Science and Technology, China. From 2014-2017 he was a senior research associate in the Department of Zoology, Oxford University and executive dean of Creative Arts, Technologies and Science at the University of Bedfordshire. James attended the Top Management Programme 22, which took place between June 2010 and January 2011.
