LF Associate Fellowship is the status given when individuals have opted in to the Fellowship scheme and are undertaking the activities to achieve full LF Fellowship.
LF Associate Fellows are required to have completed the following:
LF Associate Fellows have 12 months to complete the first stage of the process to become an LF Fellow. Please click here to find out how to become an LF Fellow.
Following submission of evidence, and acceptance by the Leadership Foundation, LF Fellow status will be awarded at two points during the year, in February and July. Whilst you work toward LF Fellowship you will hold LF Associate Fellow status.
Once you have been awarded your LF Fellowship, this will be celebrated at a high profile Leadership Foundation event. All LF Fellows will be listed on the Leadership Foundation website (coming soon).
Review your reflection/learning log and complete your application using the key elements in your reflection log to provide evidence that you meet the criteria. Liaise with a senior colleague/your internal supporter who will be able to verify the evidence that you provide. Completed applications for LF Fellowship should be submitted via email to Steve Lloyd.
For full details on the process and to download the guidance and application documents please visit: Becoming an LF Fellow.
Everything you do as part of the application for LF Fellowship status will be treated in the strictest confidence.
While LF Fellow status cannot be removed, it does run out. LF Fellows will be expected to provide evidence and take part in a range of events annually, in order to retain LF Fellow status.
LF Associate Fellows have 12 months to complete the first stage of the process to become an LF Fellow. If you are interested in becoming an LF Associate Fellow and work toward LF Fellowship but have not completed the initial stages of the process within the required 12 months please contact Steve Lloyd.
The LF Fellow status is associated with you, not your institution. You keep your status regardless of whether your new institution is a member of the Leadership Foundation or not. Provided that your application shows that you are improving your professional leadership skills and understanding it will be considered. The validation of your evidence would be with your new institution.
We believe that the growth of understanding and period of reflection after a programme ends will take time. The optimum time is 6 to 12 months after the programme, as it will give you the opportunity to apply new learning and insight, as well as reflect upon the impact. LF Fellow status is about a deeper learning, rather than a rapid response.
You can submit your evidence at any time.
Currently the LF Fellowship scheme is available through the following programmes:
Further development programmes may be added to this list in due course.
At this point the LF Fellowship scheme is only for those who have taken part in the programmes listed above. However please note that other programmes may be added to this list in due course. If you are a former participant of an eligable LF programme and interested in taking part, please contact Steve Lloyd.
If you have been a participant on an LF Programme during the years 2010-11/2011-12, please contact Steve Lloyd and we will be happy to discuss your eligibility for LF Associate Fellowship, and your journey to LF Fellow status.
