PVC/ DVC Network Event

Our one-day networking event for pro vice-chancellors and deputy vice-chancellors will be taking place outside of London for the first time. Join us to hear from Professor Tom Inns, Director of Glasgow School of Art, Nicola Cairns, Business Improvement Manager, University of Strathclyde and take part in Vijaya Nath's Futurist Workshop. Leadership Matters is our unique programme for senior women leaders. It will provide a grounding for women leaders in the financial and legal context of higher education and the skills and tools to increase personal influence and confidence and support career advancement. What works in workforce development?

Hear the key findings from two new pieces of LF research; Talent Management: learning across sectors and Increasing the diversity of senior leaders in higher education: the role of executive search firms. Drawing together key stakeholders from across the Scottish higher education sector and with authors of the studies and expert panel members, we invite colleagues to learn of the reports' key findings, debate implications, share best practice and work together to create solutions for ways forward. Women onto Boards
Time: 17.30 - 20.00 (The event will start promptly at 18.15)
All the evidence points to the fact that diversity of leadership is a feature of successful organisations. Our Women onto Boards series of events are part of our work to support and encourage more women in higher education to consider becoming board members either in universities or in other sectors. This evening event will include contributions from current women on boards, allowing opportunity to discuss key issues and create networks outside of your institution.
