The BME Leadership in Higher Education Summit 2018 will this year focus on, 'Charting success and navigating the possible: creating channels for change'. The day aims to empower agents of change and key decision makers in higher education to take action to advance the race equality agenda within their institution.

This summit has been designed for senior leaders who are responsible for institutional and strategic change. Colleagues who are equality and diversity specialists are also welcome to attend.

The 2018 BME Leadership Summit is an opportunity to engage leaders to stimulate real change and progress race equality in higher education. It will showcase a number of tools and differing strategies that individuals and institutions can employ to tackle the systematic issues associated with the underrepresentation of BME leaders within the sector.

Through a mixed format of panel discussion, presentations and thematic workshops topics will include:

  • The Diversifying Leadership Longitudinal Study: Cracking the Conrete Ceiling
  • REF 2021

This is the third annual BME Leadership Summit organised in partnership with the Equality Challenge Unit, and it has become a highly popular event in higher education calendar.
